Hi, I'm Ari K!

Nice to meet you! I'm an emerging web developer, lifelong artist, and a lover of all things on the intersections of tech and creativity.

Currently, I work at MacLean Collection Map Library on developing interactive web experiences for their educational platform, Map Chats, as a Front-End Web Developer Intern. I'm also a full-time student pursuing a Bachelor's of Arts in Computer Science and Studio Art, striving to unite both areas to create something unique.

I'm always looking for more opportunities to develop myself and discover new areas of interest. This past year, I got to work on many exciting projects:

• Layout design, typesetting, and graphic design for Tusitala, a Lake Forest College literary magazine;
• Syllabus development and curriculum research for Art of Social Change, Radical Women: Latina/x Artists, and other cross-disciplinary Art courses, in collaboration with Studio Art faculty;
• Заутреня (Matins) — a recently exhibited analogue media project exploring national and immigrant identities, belonging, and memory.

I also have many hobbies that all tend to eventually grow into larger projects: zine making, video game design and development, illustration... Tune in in a month or two to see if these develop into something exciting!
